USA v Honduras - GOLD CUP Semifinals (3-1)

For Global Football fans this game was very good. For USA fans, this game showed the capability of the US Men's Soccer team under the guidance of the well experienced Jurgen Klinsmann....
...who so rightfully protested against the poor refereeing of the match on a foul against Demarcus Beasley and got sent off... Really? The ref in this game was the only downfall of this FIFA regulated match, who allowed the Honduras team to aggressively take on the USA team unsuccessfully. The US team demonstrated the passion needed for a very good World Cup 2014 performance. The pressure applied to Honduras team showed the dedication of putting pressure on the opposing team while they had possession of the ball. The favorites of the World Cup 2014 may be Brazil, Spain, and Germany, but the US is definitely the Dark Horse in this Race.

What does don't buy The Sun mean? -- Remember HIllsborough

I was shocked when I read about 96 people being crushed to death on April 15, 1989.

It was even more shocking that a news organization tried to spin the event. But I guess this is Rupert Murdoch we are talking about... we should not be surprised.

The Globe's Biggest Sport -- FOOTBALL

In America, they call it Soccer. But the rest of the globe they call it FOOTBALL.

The World Cup demonstrates the dedication of the fans to incorporate a competition that involves the best players of a particular country that play against the best countries of the world.

A governing body, the Federations of International Football Associations ( FIFA ) controls the sport of play.

The most civilized countries of the modern World have Leagues that are dedicated to the sport of football.

The World Champions of 2010 -- Spain have La Liga.

England has the Premier League.

Germany has the Bundesliga.

Italy has Serie A.

USA has Major League Soccer ( MLS ).

Other countries have major leagues as well.

This keeps the competition and the money flowing into the sport. Of course the sport would be nothing without the fans.

The ability of many countries to support professional leagues allow the development of many good players.

In this blog I will review the games that I watch.

Thanks to ESPN3.com which provides a miriade of games to watch.
